Default Using curling iron to make perfect curls?

I'm new to CG and have Ga curls. My question is: Do any of you use a curling iron to make your curls more perfect? I am so tired of drying my hair straight, and then doing one last step with the curling iron. Do any of you have a short cut to this time consuming ordeal? If I just let my curls air dry it's a hot mess! Help!

I don't, but sometimes I use Curl Formers
You can buy them at Sally's and where them overnight or blow dry your hair with them.
