I am new to this site. I am at a complete loss as what products are best for my hair. My hair is 3A. I have looked all over this website at products and my eyes are starting to cross! I have done CO for about 6 months. No soap on my curls thank you very much. I wash my hair with Avalon Organics Lavender conditioner. I leave a little in during the rinse, and this seems to work. My hair is thin, and I'd like more volume.

If there are any 3A girls out there that love the products they are using on their natural curls, I would love it if you would share what they are with me. Thanks much!

I so dislike spending tons of time on my hair, and now I find I'm spending tons of time reading about my hair. Am I looking for a quick fix? Yes! Really I would love to love my hair, and I just don't. Thanks for your help.

Not sure there's a quick fix. I think you get out what you're willing to put in.

Hair properties are more important for selecting hair products/ingredients then hair type. If you want to determine yours, here's a link to help Live Curly Live Free - Home Once you determine your properties, you should look for people with hair like yours and see what they use (in signatures.) It's the best place to start. It's really a lot of trial and error to find out what works for your hair.

+1 on determining hair properties (texture, porosity, and elasticity); they've been key in figuring out what will work for my hair.

After figuring that out (I had a tough time figuring out my properties on my own so I paid to get a hair analysis to find out my hair properties and it was worth every penny), I found my hair twin (who has the same properties as me) and somewhat went by the products they seemed to have success with. Hope that helps.
