Default Favorite Sally's buys?

I just discovered that we have a Sally's! Yay. So I'm planning to take a trip this week. Just wondering what your favorite hair products from Sally's are?

My staples are Cure Care condish...it's got protein in it & it's cheap, I can use it as a cowash, RO, or LI LOVE IT!...Salon Care gel...I can use this pretty much all the time...Ion Reconstructor PT....my hair loves the lighter protein in this. Also GVPCB...use it as a RO & my DT.., I'm wanting to try the Biotera gel. My Sally has been out of it. There are a lot of curlies that love this.

I'm SO new to all of this! Today is my first no poo day so please bare with me. I believe RO is rinse out, not sure what PT is and not sure what CB is. I know that GVP is generic value product. Can you help me with this? I was in Sally today and was getting really aggravated reading all of those labels. I didn't find anything without cones and the sales girl was no help.

LOL I need a CG tutor!!

When I found out we had a Sally's in town (actually 2 of them) I was so excited. I went in, asked a sales person about no silicone and no sulfate products and she had no clue. I've learned to do my research before info buy my products now. You can also lurk around the boards. A lot of people often talk about different CG friendly products from Sally's.

I've been here several months and I still refer to this thread from time to time:
Acronyms/Abbreviations/Definitions!

GVPCB id the GVP Conditioning Balm (a generic of biolage)

My favorites from Sally's:
ION Effective Care (I use for RO)
Cure Care (my current LI)
One n' Only Argan Hydrating Mask (DT)
Biotera Gel

I'm also currently experimenting with the new As I Am line and getting very good results.

I also love the Cure Care; since I have fine hair, my hair drinks up the protein in it. Also love Beyond the Zone curl cream and second the GVP CB.

PT means protein treatment . To the people using the Cure Care, does it have any wheat or oats in it? I tried looking up the ingredients on the Sally website but there didn't seem to be one. Thanks!!!!!

@hippiechic -- it has keratin, but I don't see any other form of protein.

I also love the GVP Reconstructor (generic k-pak),
Eco gels are on sale now
Beyond the Zone Spike it gel -- a hard hold gel
Biotera gel, glaze and curl creme

Full ingredients (excuse crazy typos since I'm copying from the back of my bottle): Water, cetyl alcohol, cetrimonium bromide, hydrolyzed keratin, mthylparaben, propylparaben, citric acid, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone

@ kimmidawn -- does the BTZ Curl Cream build up? According to the Sally's web site, it's got d-cone, but it's down the list a bit. I'm looking for a cream with strong hold. How well does this one work?

The BTZ Curl Cream is not CG, and I'm not sure about the Biotera Glaze, but the rest are all CG.

I just checked the Sally's site to see if the Biotera Glaze is CG or not but it's not there anymore. So, I guess it's a moot point.

My hair isn't really prone to build up, and I low poo every other time I wash my hair, so I may not be the best to ask, but I definitely don't experience build up with the BYZ curl cream. I actually didn't realize it had that cone until you just mentioned it; I always thought it was CG because the mousse is CG, but I don't mind it since it works for me, which is the most important part to me.

However, I would say if you're looking for hold, this may not be the product to go for. It MIGHT give me a little bit of hold, but not much. I would definitely say hold is not something I notice with this product.

Just chiming in with more love for GVPCB and Cure Care. For the last couple weeks, I have been using GVPCB as my rinse-out, and then using a generous amount of Cure Care as my leave-in. I have been thrilled w/ the results.

I mention I've been doing this for the last couple of weeks, because normally I switch up my product line up EVERY day, and normally don't ever use the same stuff two days in a row. This combo has been fantastic for me. It doesn't seem to matter what low-poo or sulfate shampoo I use first, or what stylers I use after, these two conditioners are performing remarkably well together!!

That's good to know, thanks for sharing. I love GVCB!! I've never tried the cure care but it is on my list of products to purchase next. I also want to revisit the biotera gel.
