Where do you guys get your oils from? Health food store? I've seen some oils at cvs/walgreen's but not sure of the quality.

I got most of mine by ordering through drugstore.com, but I know some people get theirs from their grocery store, Walmart, health food stores, or even Hobby Lobby.

I get my coconut oil from vitaost, as well as my EO's serum. I also use EVOO (from grocery store). I have ordered oils online as well but cant rememeber where...I know it was a supply place (for lotions, candles..etc).

Finally tried sealing. I used almond oil bc it's what I found first (was actually looking for jojoba or grapeseed). So far I like it. Not greasy at all but I haven't been outside very much yet to test out the anti humidity effects.

It smells really nice too. What do the other oils smell like? I like very fragrant things.

I actually don't find the grapeseed oil has much of a scent honestly. I can't say for any of the other oils though.

I've been using Cantu Shea Daily Oil Treatment as a sealer and I'm liking it so far. My hair feels especially soft, even the back canopy where it's really coarse and scraggly. I think it's the high mineral oil & shea content that's working for me..

I bought it at Walmart for $5 and it's a HUGE bottle.

Thanks for all your replies. I was outside today and the sealing seems to make a difference. I have less frizz than I normally would.

I wonder if there's any difference between sealing with oil versus a pomade? I feel like my hair soaks up the oil but maybe a pomade would coat the hair and create a better barrier?

Has anyone tried avocado oil? I purchased a random bottle once and wound up using on my hair with good results.

But....I smell like salad dressing after I used it. Anyone encounter this? I guess I could mix it with an EO for a better smell.

I've been using Coconut oil, but I'm open to try others. I get it from Walmart in the cooking oil section. LouAna has been my choice for about 5 years.

How much oil do you use to seal? I worry about it looking greasy.

Just a little bit. Too much and you get oil slick. LoL!
