Default Alternatives to GF Tripe Nutrition?

I havent been on this forum for awhile and when I got on the other day I found a thread saying GF Triple Nutrition is no longer CG and I went to the store and sure enough has a cone! (In face most of there products have cones now. I checked Sleek and shine too) I must have picked up the old formula a few months back because the one I have now doesnt have the cone so once I'm out, i'm out! And this is my go-to conditioner. Its cheap, creamy, and moisturizing. I read alot of CG's are using Renpure as an alternative, but I cant find that anywhere and I really like to keep my condish buying convenient. So are there any alternatives to GF triple nutrition I can find in well known stores? Right now I use Tresemme naturals, suave, aubrey honysuckle rose, and GVP Condish balm. Those are all great, but I'm looking for a condish to replace GF that has the same concistancy and creaminess, but not too heavy. Any suggestions?

UPDATE: I was able to snag the last two bottles at Walgreens of the old formula so this will last me awhile, but still on the hunt for an alternative. Why did GF have to add a cone. If it ain't broke don't fix it!!

I hear ya!!

The best match I've heard of is Renpure Organic's argan oil condish. It's new, comes in 16oz bottles, an is about $6! They also make a Brazilian Keratin one that people like a lot, too. I've yet to try either, but several people on here have suggested either as a good replacement!

Well I went to CVS today and picked up 3 more 24oz bottles. Its funny because its the old formula, but on the front of the bottle its a new design (picture) and at the top left it says "New!"

And you're SURE it's the old formula? There's no a-cone listed??

Yeah I was disappointed when they added cones--I really like sleek n shine for the brief period when it was cone free.

On the bright side, tressemme naturals conditioner was recently formulated to be free of a drying alcohol--I think that's a good alternative and a similar amount of moisture and slip. If you see the Yes to Carrots conditioner--I think it's only at Target--it's also CG.

This isn't a drugstore replacement, but I bought DermOrganics conditioner from TJ Maxx the other day, it was 19.99 for 33oz. It has Argan oil pretty high up in the ingredient list, and I think that was one of the things my hair liked so well in GFTN.

I am LOVING this conditioner!!!!! I plan on going back to pick up a second bottle, crossing my fingers they still have some!

Yes I'm sure its the old formula. I compared ALL of them to my current bottle in the shower and they read word for word. They added the amodimethicone right after behentrimonium chloride and the cone is not there on all the bottles I bought. I looked at each ingredient before buying like 5 times to make sure!

The Ingredients read:

Aqua/Water/Eau, Cetearyl Alcohol, Elaeis Guineensis Oil/Palm Oil, Behentrimonium Chloride, Pyrus Malus Extract/Apple Fruit Extract, Glycerin, Parfum/Fragrance, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Niacinamide, Pyridoxine HCI, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter/Shea Butter, Citric Acid, Olea Europaea Oil/Olive Fruit Oil, Saccharum Officinarum Extract/Sugar Cane Extract/Extract De Canne A Sucre, Benzyl Alcohol, Chlorhexidine Dihydrochloride, Persea Gratissima Oil/Avocado Oil, Ribes Nigrum Oil/Black Currant Seed Oil, Linalool, Citrus Medica Limonum Peel Extract/Lemon Peel Extract, Ci 19140/Yellow 5, Camellia Sinesis Extract/Camellia Sinesis Leaf Extract, Ci 15985/Yellow 6.

My local Walmart just added the Yes To product line. All of it is in the Cosmetics section though, even the shampoos /conditioners, instead of Haircare where I'd expect to find it.

I had luck stocking up on the old GFTN at my grocery store! You might take a look there - I guess people tend to go to drugstores or the larger discount stores for those type of items, and don't think of the grocery! I think I bought 4 bottles! Lol!

Thats why I went to walgreens and cvs because most people around here get there items at walmart or target. I'm going to check out Kroger cuz stores have to get rid of the old bottles somehow before they can fully stocked there shelves with the new formula. Thats great you were able to find some!!

Ok it isn't just me then. I hadn't been to these forums in a while (since I'm happy with my conditioner and all...) and all of a sudden something changes. So now I need an alternative. Seems like the the tresseme naturals might be the next thing I try...

I'm glad I spotted this thread. I JUST bought a bottle and sure enough I got the new formulation.

Any suggestions on an alternative that is even more conditioning, but won't break the bank?

I'm sure it's been said already, but I hear Renpure's newest line is a close comparison. The Argan oil one has a lot of the same stuff in it, and people who like protein say the Brazilian Keratin one is really great, too.
They are both on my list to try next!!

I went to a few different stores today and didn't find it. I was hoping to get another alternative name (while I was out, via my Android). Oh well.

I looked at the Organix line. Everything I picked up had a cone in it. :/

Yeah, all the Organix ones have cones. :/ Try the Renpure! Even their older line is cone free!
