Default I gave Deva's volumizing foam another try this morning.

I was very pleased with the results. I used a bit more than I had, and with a small amount of LALSG, but I probably didnt need the gel. I want to see how it hold up through the day. Also, there is little humidity here today. I'll keep trying!

what are your hair properties? I have the volumizing foam too and was wondering how you apply and how much you apply? I really like the feeling of the product in my hair; however, I feel like I end up using half the bottle with my longer than BSL hair.

I dont know much about the properties of my hair; I think it is 3A/3B (formerly 2C); and I would say it is medium textured. I dont know if it likes protein. It is shorter than yours, especially around my face, which is in the process of growing longer. I did use a bit more this morning - I had been using about 4 small pumps. Today I would say I used about 4 full pumps. But I got great curls, with just a little gel, and I will try it again tomorrow, and report back.

Yay; I am glad it worked for you! Hopefully you will get consistently good results in subsequent days. Who knows, your quest for a solid routine may be over

If your hair didn't like protein, you probably wouldn't be able to use deva products because they are full of protien.

Yes, you are probably correct, the conditioner I use has keratin in it, which I believe is a protein. This is my second day using the Deva volumizing foam, and I am liking it. It may be a keeper!

Isn't it great to find something that works well?

yes, It is, but the problem is that we find something that works, and the weather changes! or our hair changes! or the product changes! or we find out it has a bad ingredient!

How's the deva foam holding up in cooler temps? Are you still liking this?

Hi, if you look at the thread on drooping curls, that is me with the same routine. What is happening is that my "crunch", which tends to hold my curls, has disappeared. So, I have to find something(s) with a firmer hold.
