Thought I love Kinky Curly Knot Today, but....

I have used KKKT for a very long time, and I thought that I found the best leave-in conditioner. It seems so super moisturizing when I apply it in the shower. Great slip, great detangler, but for the longest time I have been experiencing frizz and build-up which I wasn't sure was caused by the KKKT, but then I switched my KKKT with the leave in I use to use (which I stopped using because I was getting flakes using it with my AG:recoil) which is Elucence Moisture Benefits conditioner and OMG -- no more frizz. Will have to see how the build-up thing goes, but has anyone experienced this with the KKKT?

It seems super moisturizing, and it detangles all my knots, but maybe not moisturizing enough?

I find KCKT to be REALLY good at detangling, but not all that moisturizing. Like, I find that it gives me really good slip, but it doesn't keep the frizz totally at bay and it doesn't make my hair feel as soft and moisturized as some other conditioners, even ones that don't do as well at the detangling part. I've gotten to where mostly I use it as a leave-in to help my products go on smoothly.

Thanks so much for your response...

I have been using it for a very long time as a leave-in....

Then the other day I thought about switching it with my old conditioner that I absolutely love as well (the Elucence) and I saw a 100 percent difference in the amount of frizz that I have been having, so now it is just sitting in the shower, and I am wondering what the heck to do with it.

Keep it as a detangler, and just use a different LI!

I experienced the exact same thing. I use a different LI now, and will sometimes use the KCKT as a refresher for 2nd day hair to help tame any frizz that pops up throughout the day, but I probably will not repurchase once it's gone.

Good to know that it isn't only me.... I am so happy I figured it out though, and I will definitely use it as a detangler and then use a different leave in...

Thanks guys!

Yep, I had serious issues with it being actually drying, instead of moisturizing.

It was OK. It was good at detangling, but my hair doesn't really get too tangled. It's definitely more of a detangler than a conditioner. In fact, if you check the ingredients, there are no butters or oils, so I don't see how it can be moisturizing at all. If you use this with Come Clean shampoo, this DOES NOT replenish the lost moisture stripped from that shampoo. KCCC dried my hair out too.

I'm much happier with DB products :) They make my hair sooooft
