It's "spa" day at my house this morning!

I got up this morning, shampooed my hair and then did a deep treatment with heat with a protien pack. After rinsing, I plopped my hair in my hubby's t-shirt and put on my Blueberry Fusion mask from Ice Elements. (Great line of face care, btw.)

I just rinshed off the mask & unplopped my hair without touching it. I'm going to see how it does with no product, no leave-in, and not touching it after plopping. I may diffuse some because it's 67 degrees in the house and the wet hair makes me chilly. I don't normally plop.

Anybody else being lazy this morning?

GMTA ! I just got a bowl of cereal and came here to see how everybody DT's as I don't usually do that. Hubby is working today, I'm fixing to go through my hoard of products to see what I might put up on the Swap Board and thought I'd DT while doing that.

I received a face mask as an extra goodie in a sale from Laurabeth and am going to use that as well I think. Which, btw, I happened to see at Walmart and wow have they got a wide variety of selections! I'm going to pick up a few more.

We'll probably go out later, but I think I'll DT and just use some GF CnS conditioner as my leave-in mixed with a little of the matching leave-in creme and see what my hair does. I picked up 2 bottles of Body Envy last night as I had a coupon for $3 off 2 HE products and I hadn't tried the BE yet. So, I might try that for tonite and give the BE a test run :) .

ooo . . . sounds fun. What kind of face mask? What did you see at "the Wal"?

I'm boring. I just DT for about 5 minutes in the shower while I'm washing off everything else. I tried the 30 minute and the overnight way, but it didn't make much of a difference for me, although others get better results that way.

I'm not 100% sure if the leaving it on for long period does anything for me or not. I don't regularly deep treat, but I'm trying to fade my hair color, so I figured maybe longer would help. Anyway, the heating pad felt good on my head. I don't have one of those heated caps. I just put my hair in the plastic shower cap and use a heating pad to warm it up.

I have one of those drying bonnets that you can hook to your blow dryer, but if you look in my Fotki, you can see why I don't like to use it. It falls over my eyes and it's noisey, too.

Brio I saw your space helmet I was like umm how does she breath?

I didn't put gel in my hair. It's kinda halo frizzy but it's actually real curly. I did put Rusk being Gutsy in but it's almost NO hold.

I'm sitting round playing with the pups being a lazy butt.

I think we all need to be lazy butts, sometimes. At least that's my story & I'm stickin' to it.

OK, I'm about done with my plopping/no product experiment. I think it did pretty good. I have frizz, but that's normal for me with no product and especially considering I didn't use conditioner after my protein treatment. The curls are forming pretty well. I'm sitting here thinking: "maybe I need to re-visit this plopping thing now that my hair is getting longer. Hmmmm . . . seems to be working for me today." It was sort of a "eureaka, I have found it" moment.

Well, that moment was shortlived. I looked at the thermometer. It's 63 degrees outside today!

So, is it the weather or the plopping? Or, does it really matter in the scheme of things? Kids are starving in the world, and I'm obsessed with my "winter" hair! :?

(I am sooo PMS-ing today.)

Right after plopping.

Almost dry after my "plop."

Chihuahua puppies! I have a few too many chis already but we have to little special needs pups that my vet needed a home for. They're so cute! And my adults are so sweet with them!

I do believe your hair is way curly! Plopping still leaves my top flat. I wonder if that says more for what I'm using in my hair than plopping? No matter what routine I use my top goes flat.

I don't see any curls that change direction did that cure that?

Yay a fellow chi lover! My father bred chis. I bred them for a while but mostly I take in the ones that are hard to place or have special needs now. I swear you can't have just one! I adore their personality!

I think my hair did better because of the weather. It got in the 60's yesterday. 8)

I want to see pictures on the puppies!

Today I'm going to clarify and then do a DT while doing my home facial. I try and do this once a week - usually on Sunday. I'll use my facial scrub then a clay mask by Aveda to deep clean. And if I'm real bored, I'll use steam by boiling some water in a big pot and hanging head over it with a towel for a couple of minutes. Then I use a papaya peel cream for a while and after that I sometimes use a moisturizing mask. Then I wash that off and moisturize.

Here is the folder with the pups pics in it. This place won't let me just post the pic in the post grrrrr

A peel and mud sounds good about now, I do believe I'll get that going when the pups nap!

Ohhhhh. . . they are so cute! They look soooo tiny. About how much do they weight in those pictures?

tinicurlyd 01-28-2007 11:16 AM

aww medusahair.. your chih pups are just so adorable ! :D gosh the pics i have thru the years of chih pups.. love , love love them! 8)

medusahair 01-28-2007 12:32 PM

Thanks Brio and tiny :D
Brio the choc one Widget is 1 lb 5 oz and the red/fawn one Stella is 1 lb 6 oz. Even for their young age they're pretty small.

Well my pores feel better but my face is a little tight. Time to admit I need a good moisturizer. One more lazy hair day. They turn out pretty good just a little frizzier on my halo than if I took more time with it.

It's called Face Tonic and our Walmart had a whole center aisle display of all different kinds. They're very colorful and they have a pic of a girl with one on her face. I decided to wait and try that for next time I'm relaxing in the jacuzzi tub, which should be tomorrow night .

Yesterday, I DT'd with Too Shea while going through all my stuff. I got any kind of "spa stuff" all in a single space to use up as I've gotten all kinds of freebies in swaps/sales with fellow curlies on here. I actually lined up all my gels/mousses/leave-ins in rows  . The other stuff I haven't used in ages or have decided not to use again is up on the swap board. I now look semi-organized in my PJ madness!!

Oh, and after DT'ing yesterday, I decided to go all Jessicurl - I used Too Shea, to use Aloeba, RR and CCSS. Got great hair! Today I used the same combo but threw in some Re:coil before the RR. Another good hair day :D

I have to do these spa days more often!
