Default KCKT not for me :(

I really wanted to love this. I've heard so many great things about it. So when I saw KCKT at target, I picked some up.
Maybe I'm using it wrong? I only used a tiny bit under my Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie and LALSG. My hair felt gross when it dried. Yuck.
So I tried it again, without the smoothie, and still the filmy feeling.
I hate to say it, but I just don't think it's right for me. I get much better results using my tresemme naturals as a leave in. I'm sad.

If its slimy, you used too much... Did you try rinsing with some water to rid of some product?

I only used a tiny bit. Maybe a dime sized amount? After it dried, it just felt like it left a residue on my hair. Maybe I'll try using even less next time.

I have thin hair and I love KCKT, but it is easy to overdo it. I apply what I need for detangling and conditioning, and then I gently blot excess water/KCKT with a microfiber towel. Seems to do the trick for me.

I have thin hair, and it seems to work for me. Then again, maybe it's more of a porosity thing? I scrunch about a dime-sized amount through my ends until it squishes, then I comb through it. Are you using too much RO? I don't remember if that was already asked...

I've read that Kinky Curly doesn't always mix well with other products.

Hmm...
Maybe it didn't mix well with the SM Smoothie? I found that KCKT is good, but sometimes it does give me some off days. It really only works well with KCCC. I would try those two together and see if you like it.

I guess I just had a weird couple of days because I've been using it regularly and no residue. Weird. Thanks ladies.
