Default Herbal Essences Set Me Up Gel or Body Envy?

I've been using the SMU gel with a lot of luck, but I've used the Body envy mousse, and its smells amazing...so I'm hoping the Body envy gel will work as well as the SMU...wondering what you all who have used both think TIA!

I've used both, and I like the BE better. For me, it has less crunch, but more hold if that makes any sense.

I've used both and I like BE better. It is more curl enhancing for me and holds without looking crunchy

I've used both and prefer BE. SMU gave me too much crunch, and the ringlets were much too fine. Plus, my hair looked much more coarse with it. Didn't feel that way, that's just how it looked. With BE I get fatter curls, my hair looks 100% extremely healthy, and I get great hold without crunch.

In my hair they are really quite similar. I know there are some people who prefer BE. It's cheap, why not try it!

I prefer BE. The SMU made my hair dry and gunky-feeling for some reason.

I looked at BE today while in Walmart but it says it's a volumizing mousse. Does it add volume for you? I don't need to add any volume to my hair.

Pretty much any mousse is somewhat volumizing for most people. There also is a Body Envy gel in a tube, which is what the discussion is referring to.

I was thinking gel and I typed mousse. My mistake.

I see what y'all mean... I tried the BE the other day, after having used the SMU for a month or so, and I think I like the BE better. It has a good amount of hold without being as crunchy and dry feeling and the nectarine scent is YUM

Oh, okay! No, I don't think BE gel is particularly volumizing.

I just began using the BE and for me, it does give me some added volume, which I love and need!

So is BE preferred over HE Totally Twisted? (I was liking SMU only because it comes in a spray version).

The SMU is my favorite of the three, then the BE, but I couldn't stand the TT and exchanged it for another SMU. I also have the SMU spray gel, but haven't tried it yet.

TT is good for those who like a lighter hold. I prefer SMU or BE because I need a stronger hold. All are good!

Re:coil underneath Totally Twisted works pretty good for me. Gave me good but soft hold.

I've tried all 3. SMU works great for me. BE gave me too much body=poof. I was allergic to the scent of TT- made my nose itch all day until I could go home and wash it out.

I have both SMU and BE but so far I've only tried BE, which I like. I'll probably try the SMU when the weather gets warm or if I run out of BE, whichever comes first. I'd also still like to try TT someday.

Blanclila, what is that photo of in your avatar?
