I am confused. I read articles where they say we get frizz bc our hair is really porous then i read low porosity, medium and high... So a 4a or 3c low porosity wont get frizz? Sorry if i sound stupid.

3B/3C Recovering from heat damaged :/... almost like transitioning because most of my hair is straight it won't curl, thsi is due to sooo many years of using heat without stoping.

Braid out and twist out are my staple styles right now! Not using heat since December 2011. Still experimenting with products!

There are several different "types" of frizz, caused by many different things, porosity being one of them.

I have 3b/c hair and almost no frizz. I've posted before that I have a small area in the front, about a square inch, that is frizzy and only curls with an acv rinse. Anyway I have normal porosity.

Yeah, there are different types of frizz. I have low-normal porosity and have some inherent frizz just because I have different curl patterns living amongst each other (larger coffee stirrer curls mixed in with penspring coils). But my hair does not frizz up more than than I think is reasonable (meaning no one can see my frizz but me lol), and I live in a humid climate. So it just depends. But curly hair is more porous than straight hair because of the twists and bends, but I don't believe the difference is that significant because other factors also come into play.

I have low porosity & I get frizz. I have read statements that all curly hair is naturally porous, which did not make sense to me because I have low porosity.

My porousity is normal and I only get frizz in this one small section without fail just like

@kilajo- do you do the acv rinses over the whole head or just the one area? I want to try it but maybe I should find out what my frizz is caused by first? Do you know why your section frizzes? I guessing my porousity might be different in this area.

I do it over my whole head. I just do the rinse once a month. I'm not really sure what causes it. I think maybe it's just a different texture. My hair is silky everywhere but that spot. It's not smooth like the rest of my hair. Idk, I kinda wish my hair was either like that all over or silky all over. Without the rinse I have so much trouble masking or blending that area now that my hair is getting longer. (Gel also makes it blend but because that area is already drier than the rest of my hair, I don't like to use gel on it.)

i think curly can be high med or low because, my own hair (limp straw size curls) I consider very very high porosity and frizz is an extreme issue for me. meanwhile afriend of mine has very silky smooth, 'baby hair'-like low porosity hair, but she has very tight coffee-stirrer size coils.
