Curl junkie..should it look like this?

Hello, I just purchased Curl Junkie Hibiscus and banana deep fix and Curl Junkie Hibiscus and banana honey butta leave in conditioner from a site I will keep nameless. (Not curl mart) This is the first time Ive had this product in my hands. The leave in was dented and dirty and the seal was broken, Im going to send it back. The moisturizing conditioner was perfectly fine and the seal wasnt broken but when I took the seal off it looked...spoiled? IDK if something happened with the heat but its all puffed up and just doesnt look good. Before I complain about the second one I want to make sure its not supposed to look like this. I took pictures.

I've never used those products, so I don't know how they're supposed to look, but IMHO, the condition of the one product is reason enough to return both products.

This is a snapshot from a YouTube video I was actually watching before I saw this post. I don't have the product myself, but I didn't think your picture looked like this. It seems pinkish here, and she talks about how pretty it is and how good it smells. She said it smelled like candy or bubblegum, if yours doesn't then it probably is spoiled. The video was called: Review: Curl Junkie Coffee Coco Curl Creme and Deep Fix.

This is why I'm skeptical of ordering things online. I hope they refund you! Honestly, a broken seal and dirty packaging? I would not be reordering from them...

I decided to send them both back. I dont feel comfortable putting either of them in my hair. A little irritated and upset. I really wanted to try both of these products.

That's really pretty disgusting! Try Aveyou if you don't want to order from Curlmart or Curl Junkie's website. I've ordered CJ from them several times and the products are always fresh. Also $1 shipping if you order $50 worth of product, and there are always coupon codes.

:S that's where I ordered from. :X they had excellent customer service and are sending me new products ASAP no charge and I don't even have to return my products.

Argh, sorry to hear you had a bad experience! I agree that aveyou does have excellent CS though. I once ordered the CJ Smoothing daily condish and they sent me the leave-in by mistake. I contacted them asking about and exchange and they sent me the correct product w/o me having to send the leave-in back!

And I think the puffiness is not necessarily uncommon. I've had that happen with my CJ Curl Rehab. Since it's thicker and if it's stored upside down, breaking the seal might cause the puffy effect.

Well the one that was sealed but completely puffy also looked separated. I just took a spoon and stirred it up really well and it did settle and the clumps disappeared a little. I think the heat from shipping made it puff and expand but I'm worried it's bad. Idk if I'm unfamiliar with the product or what. It's very thick, gritty, and slightly clumpy.

The second one was clearly dropped because there were scratches and dirt all over the lid. It actually had packaging tape sealing it so it wouldn't open. ( as the first one too) The packaging tape was broken. Someone really really miscarried my package.

I don't wanna give the company a bad wrap. It was my first order from them. The company is filing a complaint with the carrier for how it was delivered.
