Default Protein Deficiency

I've come to the conclusion that my limp curls are due to a protein deficiency. I'm doing about 2-3 PTs a week and can tell a difference right after (very curly) but the next day they go back to being limp. Does anyone have any idea how to deal with a protein deficiency or how long it should take to recover?

Thanks!

Maybe you could incorporate a daily protein conditioner? One great one that can also be used as a leave-in is called Cure Care and can be bought at Sally's.
You might also want to consider this:
Aubrey Organics Glycogen Protein Balancing (GPB) Conditioner - NaturallyCurly.com

It has good reviews and should balance out your protein. Maybe you need a second day protein mist. Spiral Solutions Strength and Shine Leave-In Protein Spray - NaturallyCurly.com
This might do the trick

My hair loves protein also and although I only do a PT once every 1-2 weeks, I use a protein heavy rinse out (Aubrey Organics GPB, Ion Effective Care, Cure Care) or leave in (Cure Care) almost every time I wash my hair...what other products are you using?

I use IAGirl's protein treatment weekly and use daily products with protein. I bought some Colorful Neutral Protein Filler from Sally's. It's a pretty cheap liquid. I add a few drops to my conditioner and it works well for me. There are a few curlies here who put it in a spray bottle and spritz it on straight. That may be a bit too much for me but your hair may like it.

Thanks for all of the ideas and advice. I am using Tresemme Naturals with La Looks (when the dewpoint is between 40-60) and HE Set me up, the old version (when the dewpoint is above 60). I also use IAGirl's PT.

I went to Sallys and bought the colorful neutral protein filler... I was pretty pumped to see the different proteins listed in the ingredients. Hopefully it will do the trick. Thank you so much!!

We are in the same boat! I have awesome waves the day of a protein treatment, but they droop back down again the next day. I wonder how much protein my hair can take. Even with AIgirls protein treatment with heat, washed out with SM coconut and hibiscus shampoo (which also has protein) and followed by AOGPB my hair is still as soft as can be. I don't even do a DT to follow the PT. Crazy.

I just bought the colorful neutral protein filler and used it as a spray with awesome results! I co washed with VO5, used Tresemme Naturals as a rinse out, scrunched out a little of the water with a microfiber towel, sprayed on the CNPF with a fine mist sprayer and scrunched in BRHG. Best non-protein treatment day yet!

Let us know how the CNPF works!
