The hairspray - not usually. Occasionally if I used too much and my hair gets a little damp (like if it's raining), it can feel a little sticky, but otherwise it's ok.

Anything working out for you guys?
I'll say that the LALPS is working for me these days but with no leave-in underneath. I did an overnight DT, rinsed with cool water, added gel and diffused. I'm using the Anti-Humidity spray at the end of diffusing, but before I SOTC with some oil. My hair dries soft and shiny, not producty and may last 2 days. Only complaint is that I have more waves than curls, and smaller clumps than I'd like. The rain and humidity cause minimal frizz. I'm getting lots of good volume too, but I do miss the curlier texture. Maybe I should just compromise but I still haven't given up on perfect summer hair!!

rednaturalcurls, do you find that the hairspray builds up on your hair? This may not the reason for the "yuckiness" I was feeling but I had to start doing a weekly clarifying 'poo with all these heavy stylers. Before I was doing fine with just a cleansing conditioner/straight co-wash and a once-in-a-while sulfate 'poo. I have made soo much progress, I don't want to strip my hair too much

No, seems to do ok. I don't shampoo hardly at all, maybe once every 6 months or so. It comes out ok with just condish washing. I just know on days that I have done second or third day hair, i have to condition more to get it all out. That's really the only time i feel like I used too much because I added more to it on second and third days. Typically i co-wash everyday (i only do second day on weekends and usually a ponytail) so it seems to wash out fine.

I have a success story to report... And during a tropical storm, no less! Suave Naturals Everlasting Sunshine as RO and LI. Followed by a small amount of Biotera gel and BRHG. Great curls and minimal frizz. Lovin' it. The Everlasting Sunshine scent is not my favorite but it becomes less strong when dry. Most seem to love the smell but I'm one of the rare few that dislikes vanilla scented products.

Hi Frizznfla! Have you ever tried Biolage gelee? I believe Biotera is a knock off but the Biolage is glycerin free. I've been using it this summer and really like it. I've seen it at CVS, Walgreens even Walmart. I add some hard hold gel over it but it has good amount of hold on its own.

Like BS/ACV rinses, limit protein/humectants.

Hi, C-c-E! I have never tried the "real stuff" but I will give it a try. The Biotera gel has very little hold so more hold sounds great to me. I'll let you know how it goes :-) Thanks for the rec.
