Default Drug store clarifying shampoo?

What drug store clarifying shampoo do you use? and also would suave naturals tropical coconut shampoo be good?

Depends on what type of clarifier you want! I do a mild sulfate wash, using Johnson's head to toe baby wash. It is lower in sulfates, and I have no problem if I only use it occasionally. I like it bc it's only got a handful of ingredients, and sulfate is like the 4th or 5th on there. I use it before a PT/DT day, typically.

If you don't want the sulfates, you can use a low poo with coco betaine. I've used Organix Shea.

You can also try a BSo/ACV wash/rinse. Or add a little BSo to your low poo or co-wash.

Anything with sulfate (or coco betaine) but without silicones should fit the bill. I have Garnier Fructis Pure Clean shampoo for the occasional clarifying wash. I have also used Johnson & Johnson baby shampoo.

I recently sulfated my hair with a tresemme shampoo because i got tons of silicones in it. The tresemme shampoo contained a polyquat that builds up ... So I thought I should buy another sulfate shampoo, probably a suave nautrals shampoo, to use on my hair to get the ployquats out haha... my hair is going to be dry

I use Suave clarifyer once a week, the day after I DT.

Jas, be careful w/the J&J stuff. I used to use it & a stylist told me it was very harsh & actually the 'poo salons use for color correction. :-O I asked for specifics (i.e. what ingredients were that harsh, & if it was so harsh why is it OK for babies?) & didn't get an answer, but I figured better safe than sorry.

I also like the Suave Clarifying Poo when I need to get rid of build up. Very effective and very inexpensive!!
