Default Showering and not needing good hair

So what do you curlies do when you shower and really dont need your hair to look nice that day? Do you still apply all of your products and style as normal?

Some days I will just let my hair be naked for a time to breath and pull it back in a loose pony tail.

Some days Ill experiment with different products. Recently as some may have read in other posts I tried using a LI as a styler only.

What do you curlies do?

I don't leave my hair "naked" because even if no one saw it, I would pay for it in tangles and breakage the next time I washed!

Honestly, if I'm not going anywhere I'm not very likely to wash my hair at all. Sometimes I have some new product or technique I want to try, but if I know I'm staying in all day I'll probably wear a shower cap if I shower.

I apply leave-in and seal with a butter, but I usually just leave my hair in 4-5 plaits.

I never though of damage and breakage from leaving your hair naked. Eeekkk maybe I'm doing more damage then good.

I exercise daily and my hair is usually dropping wet when I'm done. I have to wash my hair daily.

For me that sentiment is a bit extreme. If I just wet my hair in the shower it's not going to dry itself out so bad in one day that I'd have breakage or damage. IMO if that's the case the conditioners and products you're using can't be soaking in all that well.

Oh and I often do this, leave my hair bare, when I go to the gym. It seems like a waste to come back home, take a shower, and then redo all my styling efforts. Not that I do much . I have a pretty lazy routine.

When I go to the gym I just pull my hair into a ponytail, regardless of what state it was in before. Then I shower and I style when I come back. If I took a shower to refresh before going to the gym, I personally wouldn't bother with wetting my hair at all. I agree that'd it'd be a waste to do a full routine before going knowing that you'll hair will get really sweaty and need to be re-done!

Have you tried leaving in some of your rinse out conditioner and using that as your "styler" for the gym?

On the days I'm not going anywhere.are the days when I usually do my PT and DTs. If I don't need to do them I will wash and then apply a LI maybe a little oil and just rock my hair like that. In the event I have to run to the store or something I just put it in a low messy bun, grab a headband and go.

I just put it in a curly messy bun. I do this if I'm not going anywhere or my second or third or fourth or fifth day hair isn't cooperating lol. I buy cute headbands for the loose hairs.

fine bleached 2a/3b hair that doesn't actually curl, it's just like an S shape that just gets tighter. sometimes some of it curls underneath though.
