I'm still liking MO! I can use it with other oils and get awesome results. Anyone else?

Do you have to shampoo MO out, or has anyone who is no-poo had success with it?
EDIT: I read the article and it says it can be removed with sulphate-free shampoo or even conditioner-only when used in small amounts. Hmm I'm actually gonna try it although I'm nervous because I've been avoiding it for so long.

I've been using MO all summer. I only CO wash and I don't have any buildup at all.
I think part of the reason that many think MO is the devil is because it is often used as an ingredient along with lanolin, and wax in products. How would you know what is causing build-up? Would it be lanolin, wax, or mineral oil? - so people just starting avoiding all those perceived bad products.
I can use a small amount - about 12 drops (actually, I'm using 18 now) on my waist length hair, and it does the trick of moisturizing and smoothing very well, and it also comes out cleanly with CO wash. Trust me, you won't suffer any ill effects, and you just might like it.

Still loving it!!! Still my HG! It completely changed my hair and made me love my curls! They are so much more predictable now, too!
I co-wash some, low poo some, and once in a while clarify with a low sulfate poo - but even when I co-wash, no build up. (and when I low poo, it's typically mainly my roots.)
In small amounts and on very wet hair - there's no problem for me at all!

Funny enough I have been the biggest Anti-MO Naptural for the past 2 out of the 4 years I've been natural but just yesterday I found out that due to my hairs low porosity I should probably lessen up the grip on my obsession with olive and castor oil and incorporate more Mineral oil. So for the first time in the near future I will be giving it a try! Im hoping for the best. Wish me luck!

Yes- I've had no issues with co-washing with MO in my hair. And it's the only thing that keeps the hair at the nape of my neck from becoming a tangled mess by the end of 4 hour karate classes.

I'm still not using MO, but I do plan on giving it a shot in the near future. I know Vaseline is a NO for my hair!! LoL!

What's everyone's favorite combo or products to use with MO? I finally got my hands on some Argan oil and I'm going to use a mix of the Argan and MO tonight when I wash.

I leave my hair almost dripping wet, put in my LI (usually SMR cond, sometimes GVPCB, and even sometimes others), then I take a little more LI and mix it with some oil (often jojoba) and the. The few drops of MO. I apply that to my nape section, then go back and apply it to my ends and scrunch upward.
Then I go through my usual styling routine - LALS or LALPS, scrunch like mad, t-shirt scrunch (of MF towel scrunch) out the excess water, then apply a tiny bit of hard hold gel (sometimes mixed with a little more oil - maybe a squirt of SM elixir), then plop.

My LI has mineral oil high up on the list of ingredients and my hair *loves* it! I will try using the straight oil to see if it helps thanks Jas, for your as- always great tips!

Last night I used a leave in (Oyin hair dew), used about 3 drops of MO and the same of Argan oil, FSG and topped with a nickel size blob of HESMU. My hair turned out fantastic!! This morning y hair still looked fantastic!!
Usually i have to retouch my hair the next morning but not this time. I believe the MO and Argan oil is my favorite combo.

Straight mineral oil is usually in any store like walmart or even your local grocery store. It's usually by the laxatives on a bottom shelf. I just purchased myself some baby oil. I figured a little fragrance won't hurt me.

This area is under construction as my hair type changed and nothing works well for me. I shampoo, I condition and pretty much have done nothing but chuck my hair in a messy bun for the past oh...year? Yeah, I'm that lazy.
No...going no-poo or CG does not work for me. It leaves me overconditioned and oily in a second no matter what I use, so that's not what's not working.

Yeah, the fragrance has caused me zero issues.
Someone asked me about food grade mineral oil - has anyone tried that? Or tried both kinds? Any difference?

I might try giving it a go. It seemed to be thicker looking than baby oil to me. I'll probably have to run out somewhere today and stop and get some. I finally found Argan Oil on the ground. I swear angels sang. At least I know the mineral oil is easy to find.

Lol! Yeah, I understand!!
Well, let us know how it goes! I'd be interested to hear if it's better or the same, or worse, of course! I wonder if you'll have to use less if it's thicker?
KUP!!
