Red face Drug store conditioners :)

Any suggestions? I decided I am going to stop using my devacurl conditioner since it is so expensive and a lot of people say it isn't even good compared to other conditioners. Does anyone have suggestions for conditioner

You can purchase the deva by the liter at aveyou.com with $5 shipping for purchases under $50 and $1 for purchases over $50..and 20% off with code "allchic"..just in case you didn't know .
I love Sally's generic value conditioning balm (GVCB) compared to matrix biolage. I also like yes to cucumbers or tomatoes, tressemme naturals (moisturizing), and suave naturals (some don't find them moisturizing enough).

Drugstore
Tresemme Naturals #1 must try
Garnier Pure Clean or Triple Nutrition
Yes to Carrots
Yes To cucumbers

--whole foods/vitacost
Natures Gate Biotin (if you like protein) Aloe and Hemp Conditioners, cheap and nice.

Trader Joes: Nourish Spa or Tea Tree Tingle

Ive tried all of these and would repurchase.. all except the Yes To Conditioners are usually around or under $5

Renpure originals keratin straightening conditioner. I found mine at rite aid for 5.99. This is a moisturizing protein conditioner and its the first conditioner I have ever wanted to repurchase. I have fine pourous 3 a/ 3b curls and this conditioner helps to define and it detangles really well.

+1 to all of these, except I'd say that Yes to Cucumbers is the #1 condish to try

You totally do not need to spend all that money on DevaOneC, when there are so many more, less expensive, much better condishs out there waiting for you to try and love! LOL

I'd add Shea Moisture to the list. You can get it at Target or Walgreens.

Yes yes yes to everything here. I'll also add to the list vo5 kiwi lime squeeze and sauve naturals tropical coconut. The kiwi lime I use as a cowash and the coconut I can use for cowash and/or ro.

The yes to cucumbers is great for cowash because it's lighter but I also use it for a conditioner.

My two favorite rinse out conditioners are GVP conditioning balm and Yes to Carrots. Yes to Carrots is sold at Target and GVPCB is sold at Sally's. I believe the GVPCB is $6 and the Yes to Carrots is $9. Much more affordable than the Devacurl!

I love GVPCB! It's a complete HG for me. (sometimes I add some CNPF to it when I need more protein.)

Tresemme Naturals is ok.

I hear very good things about Renpure's new Argan Oil and Keratin lines - I'm DYING to try them!! (Mainly the keratin one!)

yes, I use Sally's GVP too. It's great. I alternate it with lighter conditioners.

My hair doesn't like Yes to Carrots as much as it likes Yes to Cucumbers. Yes to Cucs has alot more slip, and my hair likes that much better. I get better clumps. And for some reason the Yes to Cucs absorbs better in my hair, and I can use it as a LI. Carrots not so much.

I am not a fan of Giovanni, or Tresemme. Shea Moisture is ok for me. Shea Moisture products are around $10 at Target or Walgreens.

I think Yes to products even though they are $9-$10 a bottle are a very good deal because the bottle is big, like 16oz.

Trader Joe's condishs are a great deal at $4 a bottle and the bottle is 12oz I think. Spa Nourish gets the best reviews. I like the Refresh line alot, but it's not as moisturizing so I use the condish as a cowash not as a conditioner.

Like Greencup said, VO5 Kiwi Lime is great for cowashing, I use that. I also use VO5 Strawberry Cream for cowashing. The VO5 condishs are like a $1 a bottle. I cannot use them as regular condishs, only as cowashs, becuase they are not moisturizing enough, but to me, $1 for a cowash is a great deal.

I have ALOT of drugstore conditioners in my cupboard that I use for cowashing and then others I use for conditioning and/or LIs.

I like Cure Care at Sallys better than the GVP conditioner.

I am going to look up Cure Care next time I'm at Sally's. My GVP has lasted sooo long that I haven't been to Sally's in like 6 months so I haven't checked out anything new but I keep hearing good things about this one. I still have like a quarter bottle of the GVP left but I'm ready to buy a new condish, I ran out of Yes to Carrots, Burts Bees, and AOHR (finally), I was trying to use those up since last year LOL.

LOL, Auntie, not using up a product usually does not prevent me from trying another, I admire your self control! I have the GVP, and have not used it since I started my current routine, but I suppose one of these days, I will give it another try with my Shea Moisture shampoos. Do you notice a difference in how it works comparing warm weather with cooler weather?
