Store-bought inexpensive:
-Trader Joe's tea tree tingle (light). 4 dollars for 16 oz.
-Any nature's gate conditioner. An 18 oz bottle is 7-10 dollars at whole foods, health food store, publix, vitamin shoppe,
-Aubrey Organics GPB. 10-11 dollars for an 11 oz. bottle at whole foods or online
Store-bought expensive:
-Curl Junkie repair me! and Curl Junkie fix intense. 22 dollars for a 12 oz. bottles and 24 dollars for an 8 oz. bottle, respectively.
Light homemade PT:
-2-3 tbs of greek yogurt (organic)
2 tbs of ACV for shine
-or, just use coconut milk alone! Just use however much will cover your hair.
Really heavy PT:
-2-3 tbs of yogurt (preferably organic, but it doesn't have to be greek)
2 tbs of peanut butter
1-2 eggs
1/2 an avocado, peeled and pitted OR 1 whole banana
2 tsp of honey
1-2 tsp of an oil of your choice
Combine this all in a blender. If you think it's too thick, add some ACV. The yogurt, peanut butter, eggs and avocado are all loaded with protein. The honey and oil will add moisture and shine.

Rimi I think the Repair Me is a 12oz bottle.
The Repair Me is my favorite PT. I don't make my own because I'm lazy and don't do them very often.
Another popular one is a gelatin PT. science-y hair blog: Recipes and Projects
Otherwise you can probably find something like Joico or Nexxus in the stores.

I love the recipe that was posted. Gelatin is cheap, its collagen which is a strong protein, its customizeable, its great!

I'm with Asianrunner and Lcl0706. My hair loves IAGirl's gelatin pt. It's cheap and very customizable. The nc.com thread about it is here, and various people have posted their tweaks and tricks if the basic recipe doesn't click for you.

I did the protein treatment and holy CURLS!!! I used half the gelatin, a little honey, and a little vinegar. It smelled awful! But it worked! But now my hair is dry and I'm nervous that a DT will just make it go soft an limp again. Also, I dot have any good products to use so I'll be undoing all the progress made :/ I heard honey is a miracle product? Also, what are ya'lls experience with the moraccon oil line?

If you care about ingredients, you probably don't want to use Moroccan Oil line.
I don't DT after a moisturizing PT (I usually use CJ Repair Me or SS PT.) Try using a moisturizing conditioner and leave it on while you shower, then use rich products to style. That may be enough. If not, DT.

MorrocanOil has exactly one cone-free product (if you're CG and watching this stuff)- it was a protein mask. If you're not picky about cones I've had very good results with their Curl Defining Cream, but it's a very perfume-y scent.

For some it is, for some it isn't. Honey is a humectant, though a mild one. Which means that on very humid or very dry days, it might cause frizz. For some people, raw honey can bleach their hair a little. Heating the honey before applying prevents that.
If your hair likes protein, it'll probably like coconut oil and argan oil too. Those don't contain protein, but they bond to protein in the hair, slowing protein loss.
