Default Cherub curls, HELP

Couple of questions please would love to hear from anyone with cherub curls for your product recommendations.
Question 1. What do you guys use for hold? Is hairspray allowed on CG method? I have very weak curls and normally need a lot of hairspray to hold my curls during day.
Question 2. I have bangs that I have one idea what to do with now. They seem to just look undone, for lack of a better word, since trying CG. Would it be a good idea to grow bangs out now? Any experience with bangs would be helpful.
Question 3. Ok I shower every morning should I be covering my head every other day to try and not wash it, or is is ok to wet, or should I just condition daily? Have always washed daily with poo and conditioner.
Final question. Not sure if I need moisture or protein. If I get a gloss but on my hair it feels and looks awesome for a week or two. Is this adding protein or moisture??
Sorry for all questions I do have the curly girl book but still somewhat confused.

Cherub curls, low porosity, med-coarse hair.

My understanding is that cherub hair is thin, weak, and fly away, and therefore needs protein and lots of it! Protein adds strength to the hair. Excess moisturizers would make your hair more soft, limp, and fly away.

Hairspray is probably ok if it doesn't gave drying alcohols or 'cones in it. However I'm not sure that there is an alcohol free hairspray? (i don't use hairsprays)

Hair properties are really more important in choosing ingredients/products than curl type. Here's a link to help you find yours Live Curly Live Free - Curly Hair Basics Once you determine your hair properties, look for other folks with hair like yours and see what they use (in signatures.) It's the best place to start.

Because you have cherub curls, you want to use minute amounts of whatever products you use--so you don't weigh them down.

I did shampoo/conditioner every day up until about five years ago. I "weaned" myself to every three days--although I wet and diffused every day. I never used styling products until starting to lurk on nc.com. Now, I wet, use a rinse out and style every day. Cleanse when necessary, which is dependent on the season (every 3/4 days in summer, every 7-10 in winter, and something in between the rest of the year.)

I started as a winter wavy/summer 3a. Since I learned how to take care of my curls here, my hair looks like my signature picture every day.

Thanks ladies!! I think I'm beginning to learn that there is no miracle product or regimen. I think it is a lot of trial and error. Well, my hair is already looking healthier so I have to be headed in the right direction. Just working out a routine!!

When you first start, it's hard to not want to try everything. Eventually, you'll get to know your hair and have a better idea of what works. Playing around is half the fun, LOL!
