Chlorine damage?

Hey guys!

So my questions pretty simple... being a totally natural girl (my hair products include baking soda, vinegar & coconut milk,) I was wondering,

1. How badly is chlorine in a swimming pool going to harm my hair,
2. in what way (drying, etc.)
3. and what could one do to remedy/counter it (revert it back to original health.)

Thanks guys!
I'm no expert, but from what I understand, chlorine can be very drying. How drying depends on your hair properties and health. Chlorine cause further damage to hair that is already dry and in bad condition. It will do less damage to hair that is currently moisturized and healthy. Many curlies will minimize the drying effects by soaking their hair with water and conditioner before getting into the pool. That can keep some of the chlorine from penetrating the hair.

Hey! I'm on a swim team so I know all about this I dampen my hair and put conditioner in it before putting on my swim cap and swimming. I can cowash it after if I REALLY scrub, but at least three times a week, I use Deva No Poo just to make sure all the chlorine comes out (I swim everyday). Also, two times a week, I mix a dime size of honey in the condish I am using which reaaallllyyy helps the dryness!! Additionally, I deep condition once every two weeks! Now, I can't even tell I ever had/have chlorine damage
