Default Flexi-8: intrigued but confused!

Has anyone ever used the Flexi-8 hair clips? (The attractive & flexible hair barrette, Flexi8 - hundreds of beautiful hair clip styles)

I hear wonderful things about them and they are so pretty! But, I am totally confused about what size to get. I have medium/thick hair, but I will mostly use them for half-up styles. I was thinking of getting a small but I really don't know. When I do a half-up look, it's actually more of a 1/4-up because I don't take so much hair... which makes me think I should get an extra small.

But then I think, the small could probably also hold a pony for me? They aren't cheap, so I want to get my money's worth. I'd be open to buying two sizes if I'd get a lot of use from them.

Curious to hear from anyone who has tried them!

There was a similar thread started in the 3b forum a few days ago. Check here for more info.

btw...I use a small for my 3a/b medium thick coarse hair 1/2 ups. I posted pics on the other thread.

I originally bought a small and a medium, but exchanged the medium for another small because it was too big for 1/2 up and my hair wasn't (and barely is now) long enough for a pony. My daughter has an extra small and I don't think its big enough for me at all. But it really depends on how thick your hair is and how much of it you want in the clip.

Flexis are my favorite clip! I'm actually wearing a 'small' in my profile pic. Theyre strong, comfortable, and really cute! Theres a few threads on them if you do a search, everyone loves their Flexis :-)
A member here, Robin-in-FL, sells the Flexi. I'll try to find a link for you.
I have a ton of hair and like the small size for doing a 1/2 up style.

I love mine!! I have sizes mini-large and use them all for different styles. I only need an X-large now to complete my set. I use a mini to hold back a small portion of hair back out of my face, x-small for less than a half up, small for half ups, medium for ponytail, large for French twist and a variety of styles. There's usually a code on the flexi site for 10% off or buy four get one free...code blue 32088 I believe.
