Shower + losing hair

For as long as I can remember, whenever I shower I lose chunks of hair. I know it's normal for some to fall out, but I get almost a handful. Just wondering I'd anyone has an idea what the cause might be. Is there something my hair might be missing?

They say that it's normal to lose 50-100 hairs per day, which are being replaced by new growth. I wash or co-wash daily and lose at least that much (a good sized little hairball). If I skip a day, I'll lose double that amount when I wash. If your hair isn't getting thinner, I'd guess you're probably okay.

This happens to me all the time. I get chunks and chunks and chunks no matter how often I wash. It's so bad that I am constantly having to clean my drain, even when I try to make sure I don't let the hairs go down there. Curse of having curly hair. When you have straight hair, the 100 strands just slip out but with curly hair you have to physically remove it. My boyfriend hate hate hate hates it lol

When hair is wet, it's fragile. If you pull, comb, or mess with wet hair too much, it can break. Try to limit your handling of your hair to when it's covered in conditioner, as much as possible.
