Default Does this have silicone?

Water (Aqua), Hydrofluorocarbon 152a, PVP, Cetearyl Alcohol, Dimethyl Ether, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Behentrimonium Chloride, Fragrance (Parfum), Dimethicone, Dipropylene Glycol, Lactic Acid, DMDM Hydantoin, Disodium EDTA, Amodimethicone, Methylisothiazolinone, PEG-7 Propylheptyl Ether, Cetrimonium Chloride

The Amodimethicone is a silicone, right? Which means that if I use it, I'll need to use a harsh shampoo to get it out of my hair afterwards?

The dimethicone further up on the list will be a bigger issue than the ammodimethicone. Both require at least a cleanser with coco betaine to remove from hair (you can find this ingredient in a lot of sulfate-free cleansers, so sulfate isn't necessary). Dimethicone will continue to build up until/unless it's removed. Amodimethicone will form one layer and then repel itself so it doesn't build up the same way that dimethicone does.

Thanks! I missed the more straight forward Dimethicone - looking for sneaky 'cones! This is Suave captivating curls mousse that many others are raving about and I was eager to try.

I am realizing that the Suave CC spray gel and the Tresseme Flawless Curls gel both also have 'cones in them - and that must explain why they make my hair feel coated and dull/dirty. It seems really really hard to find shampoos without any sulfates (a bunch listed on this site that say no-sulfates actually DO have sulfates right on the label) and conditioners or styling products with no 'comes at all. Its tough!

Just remember that PEG and PPG solicones are water soluble- I believe that's what's in the CC spray gel, as well as a few of the mousses people usually talk about.

As far as sulfate free stuff, the new Renpure formulas(Keratin or Argan Oil) are sulfate free, contain coco betaine and don't feel drying like some sulfrate-free shampoos can.
