Default Advice for telogen effluvium?

Hey guys,

I haven't been on NC.com in a long time, but I'm back to get some advice on something that's really been getting to me. About a month ago I suddenly realized that my naturally thick hair is only half as thick as it used to be. I noticed when I put my hair in braids before bed one night, and my braids were shockingly smaller. I did some research and it sounds like telogen effluvium. About 3 months ago I had some things happen that were really stressful for me, and that's the only cause I can think of. I've had a blood test and have no nutritional deficiencies.
I think my hair is growing back, because I have a lot of baby hairs about 5cm long, mostly noticeable around my face and temples.

Anyway, I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else.
Did your hair end up going back to it's original thickness?
Does anyone have any advice for dealing with the baby hairs? When I pull my hair back on a humid day they get frizzy since they're not long.
Help? Encouragement? Anything?

Thanks
