Super helpful! Thanks for putting it together.
I use trader joes tea tree tingle shampoo. It says sulfate free. Is it CG also?

That's up to you! Some parabens are more harmful than others, but if you're interested in a product that has parabens in it, look up the ingredients list, see which paraben it is, and decide if you want it to be on your hair or not

Default product questions

I found the SofnFree GroHealthy Nothing But line of products and I'm wondering if they are CG friendly. I also wanted to know about Mizani foam wrap. I am starting the cg method and I need a line of products that are convenient to find and not super expensive. I have 3 daughters who are all natural so we use a lot of product.

For UK Curlies there's a brand called 'Naked' which have some CG friendly products. Although their products for 'curly' hair contain silicone's. But I use the intensive recuse conditioner which is silicone free and it's amazing. I have really thick hair and it provides so much slip! I also use their leave-in conditioner.

These products are available at Boots and there's a 3 for 2 offer atm.

Here's there website Hair | Keep Me Inspired | Naked Body Care

This is a very helpful thread especially since I'm not to good at looking at labels to determine if something is CG or not. Thanks for taking the time to put this together!

I wanted to let you know that Trader Joe's Nourish Spa conditioner is no longer silicone free. They reformulated it to remove the parabens, and added in argan oil and dimethicone.

Default CG-friendly lines

I think it's really hard to keep up with a list of individual CG-friendly products, so I think looking at lines might be more helpful. Hope this helps out newbies.

CG-friendly lines (95%-100% of their products are CG):
Curl Junkie
Jessicurl
Kinky-Curly
Spiral Solutions (Etsy)
Sweet Curls Elixirs (Etsy)
SheScentit
As I Am
Shea Moisture
Komaza Care
Darcy's Botanicals
Curly Kinks
BROO
Devacurl, Devacare
Camile Rose Naturals
Mop Top
Sevi
Donna Marie
Marie Dean
Uncle Funky's Daughter
Jane Carter Solution
Oyin Handmade
My Honey Child
Original Sprout
California Baby
Nature's Gate
Curls
...

Other lines (some-many CG products, double check ingredients list):
AG
Giovanni
Alba Botanica
Jason
Hugo and Debra
EO
Acure Organics
Aubrey Organics
Elucence
CHS (Curly Hair Solutions)
Mill Creek
Burt's Bees
Ouidad
YesTo
Renpure Organics
...

Others:
Suave Naturals
Tresseme Naturals
some of the V05s
...

Specific CG products from random lines:
Colorful Neutral Protein Filler (protein add-in, from Sally's)
Volumax Mega gel
Aussie Instant Freeze gel
GVP CB (from Sally's)
Cure Care conditioner (Sally's)
...
Zeldahime, Fimu, Rezua and 1 others like this.

We should make a CG products database website for each continent .

What are the differences in ingredients between regular conditioners and deep conditioners? Because I thought that YTCarrots was a deep conditioner because it contains a lot of oils.

Would you mind if I converted this list to a spreadsheet in a Google Doc? For my own personal use for now, but I could share it later if there is interest.

Not sure whether this question is intended for the OP or for the list of CG-friendly lines... but Google docs are a good idea!

Could be for both! There can be tabs of spreadsheets in Google Docs
