I was about to order Devacurl One C but after reading the conditioner chronicles' review on the DevaCare I'm a bit undecided since it had a better review than the Devacurl. Should I order the Devacurl or the Devacare One C?

Also 3c's please recommend your HG's. Thank you!

that is a good question - i'm not sure, but i will say that for reasons i cannot explain (sorry, i'm really no help) i like devacurl better than devacare.

i bought devacare by accident the first time i tried OneC and wasn't a huge fan, but then i gave the devacurl OneC a shot and it is my primary product now.
2b (a fine 'n porous wavy)...and finally growing out :-)

Wash: Deva Low-poo
Condish and leave in: OneC or Suave Coconut

Styler: Angell or the Deva foam, sometimes KKKC

Etc: Set It Free as a refresher

Protien: Looking for one

I love hairspray...don't judge

I find the Devacare to be slightly more moisturizing. Also, it is better for color-treated hair & has a different scent - orangy compared to DevaCurl's lemon-grass smell. Which is better depends upon the individual....if your hair tends to need more moisture, try the Devacare. I started with the Devacurl & switched later on. Now I am not using either, but when I was, the DevaCare seemed to work better for me.

DevaCurl has more slip for detangling and is more moisturizing to me. I love the smell too. The Devacare was sort of coating and just not as nice in my hair
Low porosity, medium texture.

If it smells good put it in your hair, if it tastes good spit it out!

There is no real general consensus on this one. Personally I like the DevaCurl a lot better, I found it to be more moisturizing and I love the smell. But others will say the opposite! It really depends on your hair, everyone's is different.

I was on the fence for a while regarding the One C from both, but I've finally decided that I like Devacurl One C better. Like MH said, it does have better slip. DevaCare is thicker and I do like it, perhaps it is slightly more moisturizing, or that could just be the thickness tricking me, but I do think the regular one gives me better slip and detangling. One C is the only one from the Care line that I've tried, I use the rest from the regular Devacurl line, although I was curious about trying the D-Care No-Poo.

I haven't decided which one I like better either, with my tax check I bought a bottle of each (curl, care and chocolate lust) and Im alternating them. There are qualities I like about all of them so far.

I love care-no poo my roots feel so healthy and strong, and right now curling at the top is not my problem (having weird problem curls at roots, stringy length, I think it might be the weather though). for the time being I am satisfied enough not to try curl no-poo

I'm not in love with either one but my hair likes the Curl better than Care. Curl has better slip & seems more moisturizing. Care makes my hair frizz & fluff no matter how much or what products I use. I don't care for the scent in either-- Care smells cloying sweet & Curl smells medicinal--but that's my sniffer's opinion.

I liked Care OneC - nice slip and good detangling - but I hated the smell so much that even though I still have half a bottle I can't make myself use it. Curl OneC is not quite as good in the slip and detangling departments, but I love the smell. I prefer the clumping I've been getting from B2B pomegranate, but I still use the Devacurl OneC sometimes just for the smell.
thick 3b; currently loving Devacurl and Kinky-Curly

At Devachan, my colorist told me that if your hair is color-treated, then DevaCare is preferable--a lot more moisturizing. If not, then DevaCurl.

Devacare has a sun blocker in it, which Devacurl does not.
To me they were pretty much the same.
