Advice needed!!

Here's the story...
A few months ago, I purchased the Beautiful Curls Shampoo and Conditioner from Whole Foods, but it dried out my hair, so I returned it. The store said it was fine.

The other day, I bought a beer shampoo and conditioner from Whole Foods (I splurged......) to go CG again because they have great reviews and are super gentle, etc. Well, beer has protein, and I think that might be making my coarse, low porosity hair dry It felt dry even while I was getting out of the shower, so I just gave up and used Herbal Essences Hello Hydration poo and condish as well as a Suave Whipped Cream Curls Mousse--NONE of which are CG but make my hair look awesome.

I was wondering if I should keep trying the beer stuff or if I should just return it. I feel so bad because I JUST bought it a few days ago, and I've already returned something there before. I was thinking with the money I get back, I can buy some Botticelli Botanicals so I can get customized products that should definitely work for me.

I don't want them to think I am a serial returner...and I really don't want to be a serial returner

Any advice would be awesome! Thank you so much!

Trust me, plenty of us return products all the time! Don't feel bad.

If you want to stay CG, I think you should spring for some BB products. Otherwise, if the HH works for you, keep using it! ^.^

You could also look into the swap boards here on NC. I have been interested in those products since you first posted about them, but getting to WW is not easy for me. PM me if you might be willing to sell them to me.

Experimenting with too many products to name here. All this great info keeps my head spinning.
Thank you, everybody!
I think, actually, it might have been the mag sulfate and shea butter in one of the leave-in conditioners I used that dried me out so badly. I guess my hair just doesn't absorb the shea butter well? I tried them out again last night, just on their own and with some KCKT as a leave-in, and my hair feels a lot better.

I'm sorry I was so dramatic, though!! I will keep trying these out, but if it does add up to too much protein, I will definitely swap with you all

Thank you so much for your patience with me!
