Default Oil instead of leave-in?

Leave-ins & curl creams leave a coating on my hair, even when I use just a tiny amount. Sometimes I don't mind (winter or dry) the extra thickness it gives but in the summer is feels gross.

There are so many oil products out right now which are making me think about trying them. I am not totally anti-cone but when I used serums in the 90's they make my hair straight.

I want to have shiny waves curls that move. If you watch Pretty Little Liars, I am thinking of Hanna's hair. My hair has a similar wave though hers is from a curling iron!

I always find that oils tend to straighten my hair or give me a greasy feeling. I have 2b/2c hair that has potential for 3a, and I get hair like Hannah's (hahahaha, love that show--guilty pleasure!) if I style my hair with Kinky-Curly Knot Today. It makes my hair shiny and wavy and doesn't leave a coating because it's so light.

HTH!

Thanks, I have been looking at that for a while but was concerned about the scent. I know KCCC is very sweet smelling which is a scent profile that bothers me.

Gels and certain conditioners weigh my hair down and straighten my curls. Straight oils and oil-based conditioners work great on my hair. My hair soaks it up and loves it. The only way to know is to try out out and see!

Oops, I meant I know KCCC is sweet smelling so I figured KCKT would be also.

I picked up Giovanni 2chic Potion which is actually a cone free Argan oriel blend. It worked great overnight but I haven't figured out how to use it during the day.
