Default Question for those with fine hair..

What works for you and doesn't weigh hair down, yet gives hair control?

I have 3a hair but I find it's actually quite fine I use oils and leave in condish but I'd love to hear how other curlies with fine hair thicken their texture.
I've tried really scrunching for bigger hair but I can mostly see through it lol

Flax seed gel and whipped butters do well for me. But you have to be mindful of how much you use

A leave-in, CIAB and mousse work for me. I can't use gel, oils/butters or curl creams (though I haven't tried many creams).

It seems that I have to keep experimenting because I haven't found that product that my hair absolutely loves yet. My hair gets used to a product so what worked and made my hair look good before, I won't get the same results so I have to keep switching products up. My hair is fine and putting product in it soaking wet and letting it air dry is not an option. I look like a wet puppy bc it's so limp. after my hair dries it's crunchy curly and if i scrunch those curls, I get frizz. I end up throwing it back in a pony tail 90% of the time

In general, my routine is this (products will vary): LI followed by baby oil on wet hair, using combo rake/scrunch technique. Curl cream/enhancer, serum/de-frizz product if weather is wonky or if I'm diffusing, thin-liquid-y firm hold gel, also all applied with combo rake/scrunch. Slowly scrunch out excess water with microfiber towel (this is a very slow and deliberate upward direction scrunch/squeeze), minimal plop with a flour sack towel while I get dressed, re-apply a small amount of gel my ends, using only a scrunch technique, set part, air dry or diffuse. I've found that I can get most products to work for me- it's a matter of experimenting with amounts and product combos.
