I normally only use low-poo every other day or so, but recently I've been doing it more because I've been sweating and working out a lot.
I use Organix coconut shampoo, but only at my roots. My conditioner is Generic Value Products Conditioning Balm, and I usually use Giovanni Leave-In on the length of my hair. For gel I use LA Looks Sport (the cheap stuff!)
I have 3b curls, medium density and medium everything else, I think...
3b curls Products I'm using: Shampoo 1-2x/week: Organix Coconut Co-wash: Suave Naturals Coconut Conditioner: GVP Conditioning Balm Leave-in: Giovanni Direct Leave-In Gel: LA Looks Sport
Annie, I know that conditioner is very popular here, and I have a bottle, but I think I like Sally's Cure Care better. I was using the Organix line, but switched to Shea Moisture, and I dont worry about using it daily. I also have the LALSG, but I find that at least for now, I do better with mousse. Thank you for your response! I have had hair challenges lately, so it is helpful to hear what others use who shampoo very often. I have the Giovanni LI also - dont like it. On the other hand, I LOVE the Giovanni deep conditioner. I dont really use a leave in; I just leave my RO in. Most of it.
I'm currently using organix, but thinking about giving the SM a try. Whenever I use organix my hands stick my hair and make s squeeky sound when i rub my hands over it to wring out some water. not sure if either of you had that happen. Thats the only issue that i've had with it. I've used the tea tree mint and the arragon oil one. I can't use the coconut.
started CG on 6/25/12.

Poriosity is a mystery. I think its all over the place.
I switched to low-pooing every other day instead of cowashing awhile ago.
Low poo: SM Moisture Retention shampoo, sometimes some GioTTT shampoo thrown in if I need a good scrubbing.
Style: Mixed Silks Curly Gel + whatever other product I have (usually HETT mousse), maybe a dab of EVOO.
I have fine hair in the front but coarse hair in the back and am low porosity.
I tried Cure Care and hated it. It had no slip at all, didn't moisturize at all, and I thought it was basically generic Cetaphil, minus the SLS. It even smelled the same.
Sarah, Cure Care is Cetaphil? I love it, LOL. I think you either love or hate that product, but so many her love the GVPCB that I may have to try it again. I wonder if it would be better for me in winter or summer...
What is EVOO? What is interesting is that so far, the curlies who low poo often use many of the same products I use, or close. HOw do you use your gel/ mousse combo, or do you use one or the other?
