Curl sealers????
How do curl sealers work? Afraid to do yet another step for my hair, since all I do is apply gel after rinsing out my conditioner. I never use leave-ins - they just make my hair limp.

A sealer will hold the water your hair needs in and keep your stylers or the atmosphere from drying your hair by pulling the water out of it.

For someone doing condish only to style would you seal before or after the condish? Also, how much sealer do you use?

If your hair goes limp with LI, I'd say stay away from olive or coconut oil, in that they penetrate the hair shaft.
If you are condish only styling, sealing after condish would be fine. Most people put it in over there LI anyhow.
And once again - I have to sing the praises of mineral oil! As a sealer it is unmatched!!

It depends on the person. Just make sure you seal your hair while it still has some wetness in it to seal the moisture in. Some mention that when seal on dry hair, it also seals the moisture out making hair feel drier, just leaving their hair an oily mess. For people who CO wash, usually they seal after the time they apply moisture products (to seal moisture in) and before their styler. But you can experiment and find what works for you!

i seal with oil, i use it both together, so i mix the oil and condish in the palm of my hand, and just work that through my hair and style.

Indian/Pakistani/Middle Eastern/spice stores should all carry coconut oil. Health food stores would also, but most likely charge more. It's also available at VitaCost.
You should look for the coconut oil which is solid at room temperatures, but liquid at body temperature.
