What is better a sls free shampoo or a cleansing conditioner?

My favorite SLS free shampoo (lowpoos): Curl Junkie, Kinky Curly Come Clean, and Theraneem Gentle Shampoo

My favorite cleansing conditioners: Curl Junkie Daily Fix, Darcy's Botanicals Cleansing Condish, As I Am Coconut Cleansing Conditioner. I also like to use Trader Joe's Tea Tree conditioner to wash with. It works just as well.

I find that I get different results. It's really a matter of personal preference. I generally stick to cleansing conditioners or straight co-washing but some people find that to be too heavy for their hair so they rotate in the sls free shampoo. There are some people with fine hair who only use sls free shampoos because their hair gets too weighed down otherwise.

It depends. What are your hair's characteristics and needs?

Most of the time my super-fine, low porosity hair does great with VO5 Kiwi-Lime Conditioner cleanses.

On very rare occasions, maybe once every two to four months, I may still need a low-poo.

No, I don't get the same results....I get more moisture with CO washing but once in awhile need to "restart" by doing a low poo. But everyone is different, ymmv.
