I think the Clairol mousse is a buck fifty. Worth a try!
Where did you find this? I've been looking but haven't found it at any drugstore/target near me.

I have found Suave Captivating Curls at Kmart and Target.

Hair that freely borrows from 3a/ 3b texture schools. These are the things I use to care for it:
  • Apple Cider Vinegar rinses weekly
  • shampoos occasionally that do not contain sulfates
  • conditioners without silicones or proteins (or so I think- Keratin seems to do ok)
  • Flour sack towel
And I dont even know what else right now...thinking I may need to drop gels altogether...

Currently have Shea Moisture and DevaCurl products that I may just need to give up on and cut as a loss...

/for some reason, I have not had good luck with HETT. I had better luck with the Tousle me Softly pre-cg, when I did not know what I was doing. The Deva foam is like the Aveda Phomllient, but has more hold and more curl defining properties. The Aveda product seems to be for fine haired gals. I did not like the Suave mousse either...

I use Beyond the Zone Tame Your Curls Mousse from Sally's. It's inexpensive. I have extremely thick hair, and I never thought mousse would work for me, but it does. I take the puff of mousse and rub it together in my hands until it looks like oil, and then I put it in my hair. If I don't make it into that oil-like consistency, it doesn't work. This mousse has been my HG for many months! It also makes my hair shiny and soft (I hate crunchy hair lol).

I like some crunch, and I need it for hold.

Seamelody, I found the Clairol mousse at Walgreens.

Today, I am going back to something that worked well before I became CG and started styling my hair differently. I applied HE Tousle me Softly FIRST, and then applied Biotera gel OVER it, instead of the CG thing of applying gel first. Will report later.

I just put in some Garnier leave-in conditioner and this mousse...partly diffused and partly air dried.....I got pretty nice curls and no crunch
