Default Curly hair towels

Sorry if there is already a thread about this, because I couldn't find one. I've been using old T-shirts to dry my hair and occasionally plop with. This has been working out ok, but I'm wondering if I'm missing out.

Can people chime in and let me know what they think of the various towels that are out there for curly girls? Especially Curl-ease and Curls Like Us... what the heck is with the cylindrical shape?

I use microfiber towels that I purchased from Bed Bath and Beyond. They are by a brand called Aquos and I love them! They are rectangular shaped / same size as your average towel. I find it easier to plop with them because they a bit larger and the shape works well for me and my long hair. hth!

I get my microfiber towels from the automotive sections at Walmart or Target. Some of them are kinda small. I normally don't plop with them because they barely fit around my head. If I plop I normally use a flour sack towel that I got in a pack at Walmart.

I've heard great things on these boards about the towels in the automotive section at Walmart but haven't tried them. I have curls like us towels. They are great for scrunching out some of the excess water but the shape doesn't allow for plopping. They are a little thicker than a t-shirt and can soak up a lot of water. I use the aquos towel to plop. The shape and size are perfect for plopping. I like to plop but it seems to flatten out some of the curl on the sides and back. I'd love to have a shower cap made of the curls like us material. I think it would make for a gentle plop that didn't flatten anything out.

I found a decent sized automotive towel at target. Its great. Its about the size of two hand towels but a little longer. It was 6 bucks. I use it to plop.

I'm cashing out

A plopping shower cap would be great! I have the same problem with the flattening of my curls if I leave it on too long. I don't think I've mastered plopping yet, and the T-shirt doesn't help. It's definitely not big enough.
