Default Mixed kids hair ?!?!

Hey everyone. I don't know what to do with my 3b/3c hair, because I've never been taught how and I'm only 12. It's gets so frizzy! And whenever it's not, is when it's in a messy bun, or when it's in a wash n go with tons of gel. I hate using gel because it's crunchy,
But I need something moisturizing and thick that will hold my curls
My mom has curly hair too (both my parents are mixed) but she doesn't wear it out or know what to do, so no help there. And my dad grew up with his African american mother, so they think I should use grease, but it's too oily help please!!!

Xoxo, Goldi Locks

My hair is type 2b, but this may work for yours too. My best go-to product right now is tresseme flawless curls. It de-frizzes and holds curls without being overly sticky or stiff.

Don't worry! Your hair just needs moisture! What gel are you using? If it contains alcohols, then it could be drying out your hair, which is NOT good. Aside from your curl pattern, do you know any of your hair's properties (porosity, texture, density: Does your hair have low, medium, or high porosity? Are the strands fine, medium or coarse? Do you have thick hair, the "average" amount, or thin hair?) This would help a lot! Check out the Live Curly, Live Free website at http://livecurlylivefree.com for info. As for product recommendations, I'm not entirely sure that I can help you. But because my hair is also a mix of 3b and 3c, I am going to suggest the Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie. It's an organic product, that moisturizes the hair with natural ingredients such as Shea butter, and coconut oil. It is a little pricey ($10 for a 12 oz. jar), so do your research before you purchase it! I hope others will post their advice to help you. And remember: find your hair's properties, and moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!

Thanks so much!! And I'm not sure about porosity (big word, small brain) lol but my curls are right in between 3b (marker size) and 3c (pen size) and no one in my family has curls or wears them, so thanks so much! I want to try the Shea moisture line
