Default Short wavy hair..is it possible?

What do you guys think of cutting wavy hair short? I have type 2A and 2B shoulder length hair (ridiculous to have two types but true) and am planning to cut it. Are short hair impossible for people with wavy hair? What do you guys have to say?

how short? i think if it is really short then you might cut out the wavy part?? if up to chin length then i'd guess it would still be wavy, i think it would look cute!

Depends on your waves, and just how short you plan on cutting it. If your waves are VERY loose, and you go too short, you'll end up with basically straight hair with maybe a LITTLE bend to it, which is fine if that's the look you're going for. One thing you could try that works on looser and mixed-texture types is an inverted bob - don't go any shorter than that.
As far as having 2 types of waves and curls on one's head, a lot of us do, whatever our types, and sometimes that's a challenge. With mixed texture, the slightest thing can make us have a bad hair day LOL! I have mixed texture 2c-3a, with the 2c part being the top layer, esp. the canopy, and the gorgeous 3a underneath. With my type of hair, it really does look better longer in an inverted bob - I wore my hair pretty short for a very long time, so that inverted bob is "long" for me. If I go too much longer, since I have a LOT of hair, the curl gets dragged down by the sheer weight of my hair.
Anyhow, best of luck!

Not sure how your curl pattern compares to this, but perhaps this will be useful:
