Hello,

I am hoping that you all will be able to help me. I recently did my big chop (august 4th 2012) after transitioning for 12 months.

Recently, I have noticed that my TWA (about 3 inches in length) has this weird middle part in it. My hair has always naturally parted in the middle, but with my hair so short it looks weird.

Is there anything I can do to temporarily get rid of this middle part until my hair is longer?

do you want it straight back or to the side? i always do clips if i want a side part and my hair isnt use to it. it trains your hair and soon it will stay when your hair gets some more inches to it. if its super curly it may not stay so id just use a clip till it stays by itself. if i wanted it all back and a natural part, i just took the two front parts and put it a little half back and now when i style it without a part it kinda stays out my face

+1 with the clips.
clip it while it is very wet, it will stay that way. after you are doing this for a period of time, it will do it naturally. it does seem to have some memory/muscle/whatever.

I do not want any part in it at all. I tried to part it on the side, and it also looked very strange.

I co washed my hair this morning, and tried what you suggested. It worked very well at diminishing my middle part. I had a full and round twa afterwards. I just added a dab of gel to the clips in hopes that it will last longer.

glad it worked!! yes, gel to the clips is the other trick which i forgot, actually never remember.
