Default NEXXUS phyto organics NECTARESS Nourishing Conditioner

Is this as good as the Deva products since I think I read on here that Lorraine Massey used them before she got her own products? Since someone said that it smells good, I was wondering if maybe I should get this instead of the Deva products since I have heard that her conditioners don't smell good to some people. Also, where can I buy it? Any advice would be appreciated.

I haven't tried it yet but I just bought some on ebay to give it a whirl. Hopefully I'll like the scent better than OneC.

I use this conditioner every time I wet my hair in the shower. I love it. It's really light, so I have to use a lot. It's not like One Condition, which is thicker, but it smells a whole lot better! At least I think so. It's very purfumey, if that makes any sense. I buy it in liters.

I ususally get it online, but I've also seen it in beauty supply stores and salons.

Spacegirl, how moisturizing is it? As much as One Condition?

I can't really say, they're so different. One C is thick and Nectaress is thin. Once I have a lot of it in my hair, I get that seeweedy feel, like you're supposed to get when you condition the CG way. It seems to melt into my hair and I don't feel like there's something coating it. Its what they used on me at Devachan before they came out with their own products, so it must be good for my hair, right? I don't really like the way any of the Deva products smell. I love the scent of Nectaress and I like the way the Phyto-Organics gel smells (they also used to use that at Devachan) but I don't use it as much as the conditioner because the gel is thicker than I like. I've been using B&A recently, which is nice and light.

Although come to think of it, it takes a couple of palmsful of One C to get the seeweedy feel when I use that too.

Thanks so much for the reply spacegirl. I love the Phyto Organics gel (the smell too) so maybe I would like the conditioner too.

Have you tried the conditioner as a leave-in? Lately I've been using a separate leave-in because my regular conditioners left in (One Condition, Curls Ecstasy) were making my hair feel gunky, but if I could go back to just leaving in my regular conditioner that could save me a step.

Yes, it's good for a leave in because it's so light and melts right in. Sometimes I barely rinse it out. Other times I will scrunch a little more in my hair after I get out of the shower and my hair is still soaking wet.

Awesome, thanks

Now I'm super-tempted, except I'm not letting myself buy anything until I use up most of what I've got.

Haha, I know what you mean. I keep hearing about things I want to try, but then I remember I already have a ton of stuff, some of which actually works well! Ah, the trials of being a product junkie.

Spacegirl, do you know that banjocurl and I and at least one other curly are getting together on Feb 13 to meet after 8 pm? Just letting you know.Let me know if you are interested.

Re: the products. They did use phyto organics before deva and I liked the smell of the gel, but I like deva's smell and just use them now without a problem. Once in a while, my hair is sticky because I can't really leave in one c, but the curl is great with it.

I have tried it and it is suuuuuuuper smelly. Much lighter than One C too. I gave it up for the smell. Made my hair very shiney though.
If you like rich conditioners this one isn't all that great. I think it has lemon-y stuff in it too (If I remember it right) which is clarifying.
If you like lighter stuff it is worth a try.

Kurlee, I always mention (when I talk about this conditioner) that it's very perfumy! It really is very strongly scented, but I like the scent. Smell is such a strong allurement or deterrent. My suggestion for people who might want to try it is smell it in a salon or the store first. I don't think it has anything lemon in it though. It sure doesn't smell like lemon.

No, it doesn't smell lemon. It is more parfume-y kinda. It was so over powering to me after I used it that it even smelled after I used a shampoo to try to get rid of the smell. I think it is the strongest smelling beauty product I have ever tried, inclouding parfume even. It was crazy. I am sensetive to smell though. But Set It Free, that to me is pretty smelly, is a walk in the park compaired to this conditioner.
Hehe
