Hello! I am currently drying my hair with a microfiber towel, which really enhances my 2c waves.

I've seen a lot of chatter about drying with a flour sack, what does a flour sack do to your hair? Just curious what others think of it!

I am 2c as well, and couldn't function w/o two things each morning: a flour sack and my Aquis brand hair turban (like a turbie twist). I use the flour sack to squeeze out as much water as I can while bending forward at the waist w/ all my hair hanging down, then I plop it all into the Aquis.

I don't apply product until I unplop, then I air dry for 30-60 minutes most days, and then diffuse the rest of the way.

The flour sack is key in all of this because it does an awesome job of pulling out so much water. They are super cheap and easy to find, you should definitely check them out!

(If you are interested in the Aquis turbie, I pick them up at TJ Maxx for under $10, they are a great investment!)

I actually use my microfiber towel to remove water (it removes much more than the flour sack towel), but I use a flour sack towel to plop.

I double plop. I apply my curl enhancer to soaking wet hair and plop into a long sleeve t-shirt. After awhile, I take it down, apply my gel and plop into a flour sack towel.

I think FST are too lightweight to remove a ton of water so that's why I use it for the second plop.

I love flour sack towels. They help with preventing frizz. I use 2 towel each time I do my hair.

jlpmom, how do you plop with the aquis turban? I have one but haven't figured out how to do anything other than use it as a turban.

I just use flour sack towels, but I agree, they aren't that absorbant to me. I could use two on my hair easily. I bought a 5-pack at WalMart for $6 so they really are dirt cheap.
I don't get the turbans. I had one but I couldn't figure it out, so I gave it away. The towels work fine for me.
