What to do for a dry scalp and easily weighed-down hair?
Hi so I'm new to these forums although I've been following CG for 6 months now. I'm still having the same problem I had before I started CG and that's a dry scalp that flakes off into my hair in little white specks. Because my hair is dark, this is especially noticeable and annoying. At the same time, I have noticed that if I co-wash too often without using a no-poo, my hair gets weighed down. I even recently switched to a lighter conditioner that I love because it leaves my hair soft and light and doesn't weigh it down as much as my old one did. I've tried the conditioner/brown sugar scrub many, many times, but it never banishes those flakes. Any suggestions? Here's my hair/product info if that helps:
2C/3A curls. Bra strap-length at the longest with shorter, less curly bits framing my face (possibly straighter due to heat damage - I straightened my bangs every day before going CG)
Products:
Shampoo - Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo
Co-wash - Alberto V05 Strawberries and Cream Moisture Milk Conditioner
Main Conditioner - L'Oreal EverPure Moisture Conditioner (used to use GVP Matrix Biolage Conditioning Balm)
Leave-in - Kinky Curly Knot Today
Styler: Carol's Daughter Hair Milk (trying to use it up so I can get CHS Curl Keeper)
Gel: LA Looks Sport Gel
Other: To control frizz that occurs after drying I use KCCC, Hollywood Beauty Olive Cream Hairdress, or Deva AnGEL (I don't like either product on its own, so just using em up)
Thanks for reading, any help is much appreciated!
