I've recently found out about the new Tresemme Naturals shampoo and conditioner. It interested me that the conditioner was completely silicone-free and the shampoo lower sulphates. I bought the conditioner when I popped into Boots the other day and it seems alright - not exceptional though. Although it does say ALWAYS use with its shampoo. As the shampoo is lower sulphates, I thought it was worth asking if this is suitable. Thanks in advance!

I snatched both of these products up as I was first going CG and was very dismayed to discover that the Tresemme shampoo has silicones despite having lower sulfates.

Right, that shampoo does have cones. That's why I just used the conditioner and a dollar store clarifying shampoo.

I'm not sure about the new Tresemee Naturals; however, I have used the Tresemee Naturals shampoo even before I went no-poo and hated it. I use the conditioner and find it does a pretty good job (I have also put small amounts of honey and olive oil in it). You'd be better off using a different shampoo and the Tresemee Naturals condish.

All brands of conditioner say to use their shampoo. It's marketing, they want your money.

Although shampoos and conditioners of a certain line are formulated to work together, that does not at all mean you can't use a different shampoo with your conditioner. Many many shampoos and conditioners can work together. I wouldn't think twice about using a different shampoo.

I don't use the shampoo, but I've used the conditioner exclusively for co-washing since going CG. Personally, I think this stuff is awesome. I dump it on my head by the palmful.
