My most amazing DT

Today I wanted to do a SMT (Snowy's Moisture Treatment from LHC), which calls for 1 part conditioner + 1/4 part Aloe Vera + 1/4 part honey, and a tablespoon of oil - but I was without Aloe Vera, so I decided to tweak it a little.

I also wanted to use molasses instead of honey b/c I don't want my hair to lighten, I want to get the brassiness out.

Okay, so I used Suave Naturals Cucumber Melon conditioner, a tablespoon of Olive Oil, and a couple of tablespoons of maple syrup. Okay, I didn't have molasses either, so I improvised.

I left it on for about two hours - I can't BELIEVE how soft and shiny my hair is. And when I say shiny, I mean SHINY - and that's without the Aloe! I'm so excited. I was getting ready to color again, but now I think I'll wait.

I can't wait to pick up some actual molasses and AV and try it again the right way!

I shall try this fabulous DT tomorrow! My poor little kitty is getting her leg amputated next week because of a tumor so I have N-O money for hair products now, and I was just thinking how I was going to have to raid the fridge instead of doing the Curlmart order I was planning!

I'll have to try this!

I'm so sorry for the poor kitty though. I hope the amputation fixes everything

thanx for the thoughts ladies - my product junkie is going to morph into the frugal-creativity-queen...i'm going to turn in the MacGyver of curly hair...

stay tuned to find out how to combine a broken light bulb, a dryer sheet, and bubble gum to make the greatest anti-frizz cream EVER.

Sounds good- I do at DT w/condish, honey and olive oil, next time I'll have to add some AV too. I can't use molasses though, I lighten my hair. Maybe I'll try that if it starts to fade to a lighter shade...
