What's your favourite thing about having curly hair?
I know we may moan a little about how frizzy our hair can get or when our curls don't do what we like or when people make rude comments but I thought we could have a thread especially for our favourite things about having curly hair! I don't know if there is/was a topic like this already but I thought it could be good to look through for anyone having a "I hate my hair" day.
My favourite things about having curly hair are, how versatile it is for a start. Even though it takes a lot of effort I could blowdry and have it keep the style for a couple of days with curls only peeking through a little, whereas my friend with very straight hair tried curling her hair and I kid you not it only lasted for about an hour or 2 before it was completely straight again.
I also love the way there is such a variety in curls, some are thick, some thin, some are very tight and springy and some are loose and wavy but they all look gorgeous!
What are your favourite things?

I love my curls when I need to do my hair for a fancy event. I can just pin up a bunch of curls at the back of my head and look like I've spent an hour with a curling iron

I love that we truly are unique in that you really can't reproduce a naturally curly look on someone with straight hair, but we can go straight and sleek if we'd like. We truly do have the best of both world if we can put the time and effort into it.

It's big, it's wild, it's different every day or every hour, it's not boring, it's attention grabbing, it's non-conformist, it's independent, it's sexy, it's fun, it's free.

I love that there are so many different types of curls; some are tight, some are big, some are springy, etc. What I love about my curls is that no matter what I do, they are always a little wild, just like me!

I love how freeing it is to stop trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. I fought my curls for years. It's such a relief to not wage that war on a daily, hourly, minute by minute basis.

I am never bored with my curly hair. You can do so much with it and it holds styles really well.
I also think that my hair straightened just looks boring (that's just me- I think it looks good on other people).
And most importantly the curl pattern is unique.

I love that my curls make me look more "with it." When I recently tried a roller set, a friend said it made me look "too mature." It looked old fashioned on me. When I was younger a roller set looked glamorous, now it just looks matronly.
My curls make me feel zippy! I feel like it takes some guts for me to wear my hair in such a "free" style - not set and controlled. Makes me feel good about myself and proud that I have the confidence to flaunt this style.

I love the va-va-va-Voom! of a wild mane of curls and twirls and spirals and not having to worry about my hair "drooping" from the humidity because my hair gets bigger!

It's exotic, voluminous, eye catching, VERY versatile, wild, and it gives me the extra oomph all on it's own. I don't even have to try, my hair does it all.

My favorite thing about my curly hair is the versatile ways I can style it. I have truly fallen in love with my hair. I remember when I was teenager trying to straighten my obviously curly hair but it wouldn't so therefore I got mad. I am truly grateful for that curly hair!!!!!

Because I can have my curls or look like I have straight hair whenever i want. When straight haired people curl they're hair it looks un natural.

My hair makes me stand out in a crowd, and I love that!
Also, even if I think it looks bad, it still looks like I spent hours on it.
And it's wild.... rawr!

Freedom! I can go swimming, walk in the rain, dont worry about sweating on it. Its original and different! People look at me when I enter a room or walk down the street I get compliments from strangers. I just love having healthy, bouncy, curly hair. And I love seeing other curlies too!
