At the top of my head where a piece of my hair recently broke off of this very dry, damaged hair of mine, (this is the 2nd time I've worn it curly in 10 years), that piece is now a much, much tighter (very obviously) curl than the rest. It looks very funny.

I just came back from a hair dresser who is a licensed DivaCurl hairdresser. My hair is too short for her to cut but she conditioned it, styled it and explained a lot to me. With all the moisture she added she was actually able to loosen my curl a little, but it wasn't until I got home that I noticed this piece on top. It is actually very noticeable and I sure don't know what to do about it. I would imagine it needs to grow so the weight pulls the extra curl out, but does anyone have any ideas of what I can do in the meantime?

Also, when I was flat ironing I wore bangs, so now they are too short to be cool. She said that with curly hair you can't straighten your bangs. But I really don't care for short curly bangs. My hair doesn't grow very fast. I just didn't plan for this. I'm sure no one did! Any suggestions on either issue? I would really appreciate it.

Thanks.

By the way, her 3 products - Lo-Poo, One Condition and DevaCurl Styling Cream made my hair feel fantastic! The deep conditoner for once a week is Morocanoil Intense Hydtrating Mask by Hydration. She said I'm to switch to once a month after a while but I didn't think to ask her how I know when that should be? Another thing you guys can help me with!
