Yes to Carrots is my favorite "low sulfate" shampoo, probably because it has sodium coco sulfate in it.

It's great stuff! Couldn't stop looking at my hair yesterday, and it was very touchable, too! Couldn't believe I could put my hands in it without messing it up - of course I'm going for volume so that makes a difference, too, I guess. I even have great second day hair, which has only happened two or three times in the 3 months I've been CG ( well, mod CG mostl)! My first HG shampoo and conditioner! I may not have to go back to the harsher SLS after all!

I'm so glad you guys mentioned these! Definitely going on the list of things to try.

Have any of you tried the CWC (condition, wash, condition) that they talk about on longhaircommunity.com? I've been trying that the last couple of days, and I think with the right shampoo and conditioner (i.e. Yes to Carrots) it will work really well for us fine-hair-low-porosity gals. I'm excited to try it!

I haven't tried the CWC technique, but that's really just because my hair doesn't need the extra moisture. Perhaps when it gets longer and/or dews are lower? Please post your results when you try it!
