My hair has been messed with for the past 7 years (shampooing, dying, straightening) and it's been a year since I've gone CG My birthday is coming up soon, and I really want to get highlights. My hair is very long, so I'm going to get it cut in layers, but does anyone know what kind of dying techniques are best for curly hair? For example, the salon I want to go to offers Balayage and foil techniques. If anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it

Still trying to find a gel or mouse that will give me hold and volume without making my hair dry or oily/sticky
