Clarified, DT'd, and self-cut!!
Just like it says! Did a clarifying wash, a moisture DT, and then cut my hair myself for the first time!!
I'm very happy with it, too! It's not perfect, and I'll have to touch it up while it's dry, but it seems to have gone well! (and I saved $50-100!)
I think I can/should take the layers up higher - a note for next time I guess!
Yay for success! I was a little nervous! I've touched up cuts before, and I've cut my own bangs, but I've never cut it entirely myself!

Thanks!
No, I did an all over length cut while wet. Then I cut my layers, scrunched in the curl to check them, did a little more touching up here and there based on that, then re-wet and styled. The next time I have a chance (likely this Wednesday) I'll style it, let it dry, and then touch up the layers while dry and when the curls are still "fresh". That's when I do more of a "curl by curl" sort of thing.
I'll let you know how that goes!

Cool. Thats how I cut it too last time, which was more than a year ago. I am growing it out. I am planning to cut in another 2 months, I will probably do a self cut, although have not decided if I need to go short or keep some length.

Wow, over a year?? I couldn't do that with mine. I have too many layers, and it would end up looking over-grown!
I am going to keep this up, I think! I may start cutting my sons' hair, too - the last time we took them to get one it was very "traumatic", and the cuts were terrible bc they screamed and squirmed so badly. (they are almost 2).
It does feel quite liberating in a way. I know a stylist would do A TON better than me, but I save so much time and money, and frankly can do it exactly like I want it.
My arms did get REALLY tired, tho! Lol
