It's my 3rd day of encouraging my curls instead of fighting them. I haven't washed in 4 days, just conditioned. Tonight, I gave myself a deep condition, applied product to soaking wet combed hair, gently scrunched to remove some water, plopped my hair for a good 30 min, and then didn't touch it.
didn't touch it. DID NOT TOUCH IT. and I reeeallly wanted to touch it, too.
So I'm laying on the sofa watching tv, curls gently draped over the armrest. My boyfriend comes downstairs - "Ooo what'd you do to your hair? It looks great!"
and he reaches out ---- AND RUNS HIS FINGERS THROUGH IT! He almost drew back a nub. Poor guy. He ran back upstairs.
Here's a picture of the back. The front's no worry, I have lots of pretty ringlets that are now starting to clump - that's a good thing, right? The back has been what I'm hoping proper care will help - it's curling instead of frizzing so much, and the straight nape-layer is showing some signs of life. I'm thinking the frizz/straight nape-layer is due to years of torture, and I need a cut badly.
