Default Protein Sensitive Curlies - questions.

I'm diagnosing myself as protein-sensitive. My hair is tangled, knotted, straw like and falling out (and breaking). Ugh. But I've stopped all wheat, thinking that was the culprit, and now I think I'm going to stop all "hydrolized" anything -

But I'm still going to use panthenol (and maybe keratin).

But does anyone know if, say, hyrdrolized silk protein is different from regular silk protein? I read an article that said that protein sensitive people usually react to anything "hydrolized" so I'm getting rid of some of my products with "hydrolized" something in the ingredients, but I have this like from Sheamoisture that just has "silk protein" but nothing hydrolized.

Help.

Silk is silk. If you react to one, you'll probably react to the other.

redceltic,

I mentioned this in my other post too but there was an article that talked about "hydrolized" anything. And so it's not the silk that's the issue (well, I'm not sure if it is), it's the hydrolized part - hence my question.

Hydrolyzed refers to the size. If you're sensitive to silk, you'll more than likely be sensitive to it in most forms.

I think you could be talking about silicones. Hydrolyzed anything is water-soluble.
